Don't Drag the Kids into the Fight
ree

“Children do not experience our intentions, no matter how heartfelt. They experience what we manifest in tone and behaviour.” - Dr Gordon Neufield

In family mediation, parents often face crisis, struggling to keep their heads above water amidst conflict. Despite good intentions, children may miss out on what they truly need. Dr. Gordon Neufield reminds us: Children feel our actions, not just our intentions. Criticizing the other parent can affect how children view themselves and their relationship with that parent.

Even in moments of anger, consider: What relationship do you want your child to have with the other parent? Choose to respond, not react, for your child's sake. Let's empower our children to feel secure and loved, free from parental conflict.
